London-based artist Brother May's debut album Aura Type Orange made quite an impression on us in 2019. New track 'Bando' arrived yesterday with a warning via his Facebook page that "we just getting warmed up". If that's the case, we're here for the ride, as experimental synthesizers wriggle around May's tongue-in-cheek lyricism with the line 'called a couple of labels, they didn't call back' cutting deep. Radiating well-placed self-assurance, 'Bando' is a triumphant track about succeeding against the odds and celebrating that. We'll definitely be watching out from Brother May, but for now, dance into the weekend with 'Bando'. -Holly Mullineaux
